They say in American anyone can be president… but can anyone be a U.S. Senator…. maybe. Well, we’ve got Barbara “never-saw-a-soldier-I-didn’t-hate” Boxer… so maybe Al Franken can make it.
However Al has a few explanations to make:
I do worry about our country … too many ‘actors’ out there already. You know what I mean… say one thing and live another way. That — they say — is ‘politics.’ Actually, there are people who I admire who play this game… but they are few and it is far too easy to become tempted and corrupted.
Once apon a time, I ,too, put a very small toe in the water of politics ( at a much lower level) and came away learning a lot… it’s a tough game and I can’t help but wonder if Al Franken is tough enough? He can dish it out… but can he take it? Besides, I know what he is against… but what is he ‘for?’

P.S. 2008 is gearing up to be a fun election … oh yeaah, it goes without saying that Al Franken wins the coveted BIG WEENIE AWARD for doing little more than being himself.
You’ve got to admire a guy who is willing to defend his ‘craft’ from the slings, arrows and paint of infamous “anti-fur mob(s)”… we all know who they are… in fact, I thought of a great screen play entitled “Vegetarians Gone wild.”
