National Geographic has a service to look at your DNA and trace where your ancestors have been over the past 100,000 years…. And who shares some of the genes you have today.

Both my wife and I took the mild test of swabbing the insides of our mouths , paid the ticket and waited for the results! It was fascinating.

Cubanos from Chef Movie @chefthefilm

I always love to try out recipes simple or complex that we see in movies. Sometimes a search is involved, as was the case of an “Aviation” cocktail seen in the “Blacklist” made from a difficult to find liquor!

This was time consuming but not difficult.

Banana hazelnut bread is yummy

The recipe is simple… But the satisfaction is incredible!

Banana hazelnut bread

3 very ripe bananas
3 eggs
1 cup nuts
2 1/2 cups bread flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup butter
1 cup fine sugar
1 1/2 tsp pumpkin spice

350 degrees for about 1 hour
