It looks extraordinary!

On Karen’s second day was a full day at the conference PLUS a tour of Dalian and the surrounds! China’s largest stone animals and the largest plaza was part of the tour. A beach frequented by Russian Tourists was a hit as well!

Karen’s third day was all about her invited talk… And as is customary in our family we all say to her in a good natured way, ” What if no body comes ??!”

Knowing Karen it was a hit!

I arrived in Louisville, Kentucky to wish our daughter Karen a happy birthday… And to share a day in her life. Karen is an Assistant Professor in Strategic Communications with many interdisciplinary research lines of interest from Social Media, crisis communication to related fields in Psychology and business.

Today, I sat in on two classes and really enjoyed the multi-media interactive lecture. Although I really found these classes interesting… The problem I see is that they would require me to take extensive notes…. Fun but work. Fortunately for me… I am not in these classes.

Fight On for ol SC

Nothing like the fun of a Trojan Football Game… here’s our experience in just 60 seconds! CLICK on the picture to see what happened!

My daughter  Karen  — SC Trojan record holder in the women’s shot put — has taught me a lot about social media. Certainly, we on the second half of the century mark have enjoyed facebook, linked in, twitter… and now  PTCH.  Pitch gives us a way of telling and posting our story in pictures and to music using nothing more than your iPhone ( smartphone).

I am sure this ap will just keep getting better and better. FIGHT ON!

Happy Birthday, Karen!

Happy Birthday Karen Freberg!
The cartoon drawing is of Karen by her sister Karla. Starting at the top right and moving clockwise, Karen as she looks today, when in Athens we dance!, Mom and Karen while she was a Florida Athlete, Karen talking to Trojan Legend Louis Zamperini, and finally Karen and me in the kitchen whipping up something yummy!

Karen will be visiting us this Christmas and it will be fun to bake and cook and BBQ… but first I need to lose a little more weight!   “Happy Birthday Karen!” — Coach Dad
